cen-cal. imo the best place to ride surf period. the stuff others have to go through to ride amazes me. if i was trying to escape the us, australia looks pretty good.

i just came from gold coast and i love it. all the locals or people from other parts of OZ were sayin gold coast forsure.
my buddys set up was put the ski in the water right behind the condo, ride to the spot, no big deal when it came to surfers, ride, ride back to the condo. do whatever than ride later.......
it didnt suck!
all the jetski shops like ajsp, worx, dealers and shops were in a 2 mile radius.....
not to mention the waves were super gnar and sweet water and everyone you meet is kick ass......paradise.

Pismo takes too long to drag your ski through the 3" water to get it out to the surf. We found a bitchen spot that is half the distance to Pismo, camp right on the beach, swells are awesome, there's even a little store that makes great burgers at the camp site, but I can't really tell everyone about it cuz then it will get too crowded.... muahhhhhhhhhhh lol

ummm... you must be doin it wrong or something.... maybe you should invest in a beach cart or a friend.
dont get me wrong, im not saying pismo is better than australia, i just think you could come up with a better reason to not like it. plus i like owning guns and hear thats a no-no over there.
and this is a jetski board, everyone on here knows about pismo and the water there is never crowded...in fact on most days you'll be lucky if you're not the only one in the water.

I'll take my NEW spot over Pismo... ANY day! No drunk jack holes rippin their quads or dune buggies at 3am, no rescue vehicles flying by every 15 mins cuz some idiot wadded up, no heavy wind cutting through in the afternoon, and best of all... no 3 hour drive to and from.
OK... maybe I'm being a little too harsh on Pismo, but the last few times I have been there it was like a circus. :wiggle:
I would kill to be able to travel to the Gold Coast though! Or the Bahamas, Fiji, or Brazil!

The second pic is a place we call Oil Piers. It's seriously right off the 101. You pass right by it on the way to Pismo.
The first place I posted pics of is unfortunately gonna have to remain my little secret for now. It's not really a "riding spot". I think they cut us some slack because we had a good group and were respectful of the swimmers and surfers. I'd hate for some ya-hoo to mess that up for us.:no:
(Hopefully our group can establish a good repoire with the people that run the place in the next few months and then I can share the top secret location later on)
