So I'm privileged enough to ride with a great group of guys here in south florida who all have different styles of riding. What I have noticed, when it comes to barrel rolls, is that there are 2 very distinct ways of doing them. One of them I don't even think classifies as a roll, but I could be wrong..
In one pic, my buddy @dmpus does a "roll" with the nose very high up.
Other pic shows the nose down roll, which imo looks more likes its rotating on an axis.
I know a lot of it has to do with body position, wave selection, timing, etc. as well as type of ski, position of footholds, etc. I do know my buddy went from a sj, to vision, to currently an edge and its always nose high. That takes the ski out of equation and leaves the rider. I guess my question is what defines an actual barrel roll, and what looks the best
@Proformance1
imo the orange ski is the one doing a proper roll. Correct me if I am wrong
