just swim the ski in, surf the waves and dont fight the current. try to keep the ski upright laying in the tray. if you are riding that far from the beach make sure you got at least a couple friends with you and tow straps. dont worry about it bro its just a ski!

I think this is great insurance. Maybe not to keep a ski afloat but definitely to keep it from being lost.

thats what I was thinking, sometimes you might be only by one other person, and the nose is down, and you only have a bit before the back goes under, if you could mark where it went down, you can atleast come back and get it

I'm really confused as to why more people don't just use regular old styrofoam... especially the guys who have aftermarket hulls built. I'd think that when the top and bottom deck are separate, it's be really easy to cut a block of foam to fit into all the areas where you'd normally use expanding foam... but with styrofoam, you wouldn't have to worry about it sucking up, and keeping water.

Just buy some blocks of styrofoam, cut the stuff to the right shape, and jam it in before the 2 parts are bonded together...

For sure, this is the way to go, except you cant just use regular styrofoam because it melts if gas or oil touches it. You have to use a foam that is not only water resistant but gas and oil resistant also.
