Surf setup only (surf stance) tray photos

Let see how do you have set up your surf ski tray with foot holds or straps. What type foot holds, strap, underpading and how thick, how is your rear foot seated upon flip etc..
This is for surf riders, riding surf stance.
Cheers!

I’ve done anything from 1” to 3 inches of padding. I like using the windsurf inserts. You can thread into the the bottom one and just drill them out if you want to stack them

You dont need footholds. I never use them and go inverted 100x a ride. All about inertia and timing. Putting your weight in the right spot. You can spot the guys that kick in and just hang on. Looks like a robot riding.

Also, blowsion inserts done properly are all you ever need. I can hang my superjet by the footstrap itself. Improper install is why they come out.

This is my main surf ski. The one hold is only on it so I have a firm grip to grab if I get rolled with it. Otherwise I just rock a super tight pole, and use the weight of the ski itself. Seriously give it a honest shot. I tried it once and absolutely hated it. Forced myself to get away from the bouncy 80s style pole, and try and take full advantage of ovp style steering. To each their own but its another way to ride.

One strap in the rear and a front hold is my favorite for a surf ski. I love the big open tray
