Friday the waves were clean but small. I rode Saturday and they were good size but clean in the morning, then got pretty big at 2pm but the wind picked up as well.

I still think Pete, ripped on his wdk Rokr soo hard.....and he does it all with a prosthetic leg.

Lots of great riding in some pretty challenging conditions all weekend. Saturday early in the day looked so fun I almost bailed on my judging duties to go ride. Sunday was pretty poor conditions all day and those guys did an incredible job in it, thankfully there was good light and some great photos as a result. I will say that being in the booth is way harder than being on the water as far as stress goes, and it is only slightly easier on the body ;-) .

Blowsion put on an incredible event. I can't even begin to imagine what those guys spent on this thing.

It was a pretty cool event. I took 3rd in pro/am motosurf and I made it to the 1/8ths in freeride. I originally went there to race but I couldn't turn down the chance for entering freeride. Overall a very cool event. Hopefully I can go back next year.

I rode all three days and thought it was fun overall. Mornings you had to ride the back set because the inside was small and shallow, by afternoon you could ride anywhere and everywhere but the waves were a mixed bag of good and bad. Evenings were good but Sunday I think I was one of the last skis out and it went from great to kinda crappy, wind was making rough chop in between the waves and blowing out most of the faces. Still this was the most fun I have had at surf slam (5th year) The event was great and the competition was really cool because the pros were throwing huge tricks off the first set just off the beach. Loved the weather, vendors, riders, and the freestyle mx was a great addition.
