Is this hull mainly a surf hull or can it chase boats on a lake and flip off smaller boat wakes? It will have a 701 in it with light porting and standard b pipe and head with a 148 and trim. Looking for input from people who have owned or ridden them !

FV is a flatwater hull... and theres several variants at this point. An SV is the current kittycraft surf hull

What about the 2018 SV- pro hull ? Any good for boat chasing with a 701?

It really depends on what your trying to do. If you want to flip anything with a 701 off a boat wake, buy a flatwater hull. Only the super talented 1%ers can flatwater flip anything with a 701, you'll likely need a wake if that's your goal. If you want comfort and ability to cruise around and chase boats, an fv may be good. I've never ridden an fv...so i cant speak first hand. Ive spent some tray time on a first gen FVpro, and rode a bit of small surf on an M1

No, i understood. Haha. Even with a 701, if flipping is your goal you want a flatwater hull unless you ride surf or are immensely tallented.

Yeah I want something comfortable for a cruiser/ freestyle ski, like a aqaubot or Sv pro if the Sv will be good for those things

I have an SV1 and it kills it in the surf and on the lake. Super fun to chase boat wakes on. I am able to send some respectable nose stabs off wakes. Also been going for barrel rolls off wakes and can almost get it around (I’m still learning). I would flip it but I’m still scared where I pee but I’ll get there.

Yeah I’m trying to figure out what’s best as I don’t ride surf but chase a lot of boat wakes so I need something I am confident will flip and barrel role as I don’t want to buy somthing that can’t do either

My vote is an m1. I love it. It’s amazing and does everything I want it to. Order it with two ride plates. Cut one down and leave one long.

Yeah I’ve got a aqaubot v2 on order with tony at Tigercraft , my only concern is the deadlines , a lot of people complain about it but he’s a super nice and helpful guy! I just don’t want to be without a ski this summer when he tells me it should be done in April as I just ordered one a week ago. Again no bashing here , he’s been awesome

I ordered my m1 in the middle of February and picked it up the middle of May. So that it’s a fairly responsible time frame.

No but after days and days or reviews and talking to people they have stated the v2 is what I want for what I do
