3 hours away? That isnt far imo. Im not a huge fan of the sv, for all around hull, I'd take a m1 or a v2. I use my FV for all around hull, but its definitly takes more skill to use it in that manner. Everyone has there own preference, I personally really only like shorter carbon hulls. Sv, Edge, etc feels like a big, sluggish, boat. I think you can grow to love almost any hull, but would be nice to get one you already like better then what you have.

Totally agree. Especially if you are wanting to learn to flip something with a 701. I'm not saying it cant be done, but it will be harder to learn on something long like an edge or sv.

A t1 or phantom are great all around hulls in my opinion, and both extremely fw capable too.

T1 is probably top of my list for all around hull next to the M1, but T1 take a year to get and i think it comes in carbon only.
But again, everyone has there own preferences, best to ride a couple first.

Appreciate the feed back guys! My buddy’s have the Rickter edge and a 718 with 148 pump and trim and flip with no issues off boat wakes , just looking to through a ported / polished 701 with a 148 pump with basic mods to get me started, been riding 550s and superjets for 7 years but my 17 superjet gets boring because I’m limited. I nose stab off v wakes and that’s all I can do because I don’t want to ruin the hull lol

That’s what I’m selling lol

I am totally confused here!? Is it my age or the op??o_O
But I'll subscribe[/QUOTE

Idk people have been answering my questions.. basically trying to see if a TOGERCRAFT SV PRO would be a good boat chasing ski and flippable off a small boat wake (like a Rickter edge and stuff of that nature). I want riding comfort kind of similar to a superjet but able to flip , 360 and what not. Don’t want a freestyle ski that ride nose high everywhere and im hunched over 24/7 lol..... hope that helps

I was in your boat several months ago. I had ridden an edge a few times. I could not get any straight answers on the SV Pro as far as a Lake Ski.......... But I knew what the edge would do. You already said your buddy has one and he can flip it off boat wakes. I believe that in itself answers your question.
I came from a SJ (Raced and Competed on {Freestyle}) to a Superfreak, it did not do what I wanted. The Edge is about as close to a SJ as your gonna get. Dont get me wrong, the SV Pro is an excellent Surf Hull, I have watched some amazing east coast riders absolutely rip the surf on theirs. But honestly, The Edge is designed to do many different things, with the removable rear sponsons it will give you more versatility. That is why I got mine. It is a hull you can rip of the lake chasing a boat WOT and still be stable. A V2 is going to be squirly as hell.

Just sold my V2 aquabot and got a sv1 cause I mostly ride sur the V2 would flip of boat wakes
No problem also can do flat water flips with 800cc
And ride surf as well, sv1 requires more effort but can be done , avoid the edge at all cost as it's mainly a surf ski, look in to a fs2 much better for lakes

You do realize the FR2 is an Edge. Go look at the video Rick Roy did when they released the Edge. It will show you it's capabilities.

Thanks for noticing it's a FS2
Fr2 and Fs2 are the same. The Fs just has a little lighter layup. As far as the debate of SV vs Edge/FR/FS goes the Rickters were designed with more versatility than the SV. The SV has a built in fin along the rear bondrails which you can trim to loosen up how much grab it has, but this is all designed for surf riding. Don't get me wrong. The SV's are one of the best surf hulls out there. Going to be riding tomorrow in Jacksonville with several guys that are on them. Going to enjoy watching them rip the waves with the SV's.

those guys have pros I have the SV1 they are different
Bottoms from I was told mine doesn't have the fins
And the ride plates are not interchangeable ,
Believe Tony builds 3 different bottoms

I rode an older Pro today (not current design). It is a nice riding ski. Rode it flat water. It handles really well, but it sticks to the water really well. Did not do a wot run, had already been told it gets really sketch top speed. Not as playful as my Edge but nice in it's own way.
