Unfortunately this is a more realistic price for the Gopro series cameras because this is much closer to what they actually cost to manufacture. A Gopro in raw materials and assembly is about $45 but Gopro is very good at marketing and you gotta love capitalism. So yes someone give this a whirl. Gopro does rule in accessories and availability.

Even if a gopro is heavily marked up I think it is pretty hard to complain about the pricing for what you get. In film/TV they treat them as disposable practically due to the low cost.

I hope they're good. GoPros had the monopoly long enough to recoup there development costs. Nothing like some healthy competition to bring the price down

Use Apple as an example... Charge what people will pay. Apple has more Cash on hand than the US treasury. This isn't even including all their assets. Pretty sad.
