I want to add a disclaimer. The weight I'm claiming is the weight shown on the scale. It's a brand new scale, and it maxes out at 550lbs. So I suppose my number could be off. As some of you may remember I weighed the hull when I got the hull it weighed 160lbs after being out of the water for weeks.

And ultimately, I'm looking for a the difference once I'm done. So as long as I use the same scale and the same apparatus to hang it I'm good.

Deftons, I'm working on something for you buddy. Hang tight.

Before I get too far ahead of myself.....

So the weather has changed pretty drastically here, and last night I couldn't sleep from all the garbage draining from my nose into my throat.
I get up at 12:30 or something to find some meds and i sat on the couch for awhile until they kicked in.

If it weighs in at 318, it really isn't that waterlogged, especially with a gallon of gas in it, just saying NADA lists the dry weight at 291 on a 1996 model. Gasoline is 6 lbs per gallon so add that you get 297 , I take it dry weight includes the battery but unfilled so add 1lb there , that gets us to 298, you have a blige pump, hose and bilge fitting lets add another two lbs for 300, so there are some fudge factors in there but roughly 18lbs unaccounted for.

I know my tray is stupid thick. I know my foam is wet.

I know it feels physically heavy. Like redonkulous...

Like I said, my scale could be screwy. Only thing I can do is hang off of it and then check my weight off a bathroom scale. But 160 isn't 315, so who knows what I would learn from that test.

For the record, the number i'm using is 315.

The dry weight is also without a battery, right? Also, no footholds, lots of extra glasswork, heavier aftermarket turf (VS crappy stock turf). Some billet parts VS stock cast parts, etc.
IMO, 318 is not too bad.
I suggest to lower and widen the tray also. It will have the 'pump hump' in the tray, but lowering your COG, can make the ski handle some better.

I plan on doing that, haven't figured out how just yet. I'm thinking i'll vacuum bag my tray as once piece and then lay the lower foot areas by hand. Trying to bag the lowered tray seems difficult.

Also I have a "Carbon Fiber" hood and nose piece, but I wouldn't say they are very light. Imagine the difference in weight in the exhaust from factory to a B-pipe and chamber.
