SX/SXi/SXi Pro sx to sxi conversion?

Is it possible to covert a 750sx to an sxi? Is it the basically the same engine with duel carbs and different port timing? Is there a large performance advantage in doing so? Cheers for any advise.

Any 650 or 750 engine can be easily installed in any 650 or 750 hull. The SXI engine has a more durable crank, any 750 or 800 cylinder can be fitted. SXIs were maximized for top speed even though they are not very powerful with the stock pipe.

If your looking to swap I would say go for the 800 cylinder first, bigger bore and better port timing will make a nice power upgrade.

my 750sx has a dual carb 750 in it from a SSXI sitdown.. bolts right in exactly..
