sxi 750 vs sxr 800

Hey how does the sxi pro compare with the sxr? Is a 98 sxi pro for 2200 a very reasonable price? it has a WORX intake grate as well as the Worx ride plate.
Let me know guys!
Thanks Parker

What is your intended purpose? Freestyle? Racing? Freeride?

A SXI-Pro can be built to hammer, and they are lighter, more nimble than the SXR. But if you want to carve etc, the SXR is a better base platform.

2,200 is a fair price if it's clean, and has a few mods. But I have seen SXR's sold for 3K so it's really what you wanna do with it.

I picked up my 99 SXI/Pro for $2600, bone stock in show room condition aprox 2 years ago. Since then, modded it a bit. I like it, runs great and very reliable, all my Kawis in the past were excellent boats. Never rode the SXR, bit you'll definitely pay more for the SXR in equal condition, maybe double.

Depends how much you want to spend, and what your using it for.
I made the mistake of passing up a SXR for 1900, poor condition but could have been easily fixed.
I didnt know what I was doing back then.

I’ve owed an SXI pro and I currently own both an SXR and a Super Jet. The SXI pro is a good ski, however the SXR is a much better ski. Simply put the SXI pro is old and obsolete. $2200 is not much of a deal. If your buying an obsolete ski you should be getting it for a smoking deal like $1000. I paid $2200 for my 1999 Super Jet. If I had to choose between an SXR and a Super Jet I would go with a Super Jet because they are way more versatel. You could get a 96+ RN SJ for $2200. I hate to say this but unless your just planning on riding flat water and carving or leg dragging you would be better off to forget the Kawi all together and get a Super Jet

sxi pro are nice boats.doesn't carve as well as an sxr but is just as fast and more nimble.
depends what you want to do.
decent price for it too.

i love my 750. i havent rode a sxr so i cant compare there. but compared to a rnsj the 750 lacks throttle response but i love the way the 750 handles over the sj. just my two cents

Anyone else notice that sxrs resale value is lower than sjs lately on the boards?

It all depends on the mods. I think they are about equal. The only superjets going for any kind of big money are aftermarket big bores, or aftermarket hulls.

A superjet with a b pipe and footholds
An SXR with a wet pipe and footholds

both go for about the same.

So the round nose superjets dont keep up with the 750 and 800 kawi's? whats better, a 750 pro or a round nose superjet? which needs more mods to gain a good amount of performance? And i guessing the SXR is the top of the line? I'd like to find a SXR but if i dont, whats a better bet, a superjet or sxi750

More power for racing or straight line drag racing... don't let the e-talk fool you. You aren't going to get the bottom end power on an sxi or sxr that the sj motor has available without spending a lot more money.

Bottom line is, if you want to freestyle, the sj is for you, if racing, the sxr or whatever is for you. If you want to spend a lot more money for the same freestyle or race ability, do the opposite of whatever everyone has been saying.

Just to complicate things, Tim Grey in region 3 is killing it on his LIMITED 08 RN superjet, always nipping the heals of the Hydrospace and sometimes even getting that!!!
