sxi 750 vs sxr 800

You will have to ride each to fully understand. And really that isn't the way to tell. You need to learn to ride, and then ride each, and it's easy to tell.

In the surf you don't really need low end, you want smooth predictable power...

I will put it this way. I wouldn't buy an SXR for anything aside from just cruising around or actually racing around a buoy course. Some people will have a different opinion, but you will find more people favor the sj over the sxr for freeride and freestyle, and the opposite for racing.

. You aren't going to get the bottom end power on an sxi or sxr that the sj motor has available without spending a lot more money.
.

I disagree. A stock SXR ALLREADY has way more power than a stock SJ.
A SJ with a B Pipe and nothing else, is about equal to an SXR in low end power.

Basically though, flat water freestyle, SJet
Racing SXR
Surf Freeriding...either.

Power and Agility
You can do all the tricks with a 701 sj plus bpipe, practice, and a nice wake from a boat for the bigger tricks.

The kawis are more mid-top oriented, even the sxr. They have great stock power, but hell, any ski close to 800cc should have plenty of power depending on how its ported from the factory/machinist.

If you genuinely think that, you're nuts :D. The only thing that may get you off the hook with that one is the fact that the sj is begging for a decent impeller. So I will come back and say with a b pipe and an impeller, it totally SMOKES a stock sxr in bottom end power. And if it's not more power, it sure as hell feels like it and that is probably due to the weight. Of course, I've never ridden a superjet with ONLY a b pipe (I've spent considerable time on a 96 sj with a b pipe, impeller, and a 201 intake grate though), and I doubt you have either. I have however ridden (Many times) a few completely stock sxr's
