SXR SXI pro / SXR

I have heard that the bottom of teh hull is pretty much the same on the sxi pro and the SXR, is this true? I know the ride plates fit either.
If they are the same, why is the 800 so stable compared to the sxi pro, ie, the pro porpoises and the 800 doesnt seem to do it.

the SXR hull, is based of off the SXi pro. it is wider, up front.

the SXR motor, also sits more forward, wich affects handling. the tray is wider, and more forward, wich again changes how a ski feels.

think of a square nose, and round nose SJ. the two hulls are identical, but the different deck, pole placement, etc makes them two totally different skis.

The area by the intake is also different, giving it much better hookup. It's just not the same ski at all.
