hows this thing hit off the bottom end? my cousin rides a sxi with the same mods except a 13/18 (i think) swirl prop and it feels pretty doggy on low end. think it may just be carb problems.

Great looking ski though!

Thx.

Low end is pretty good. Pro's obviously were not specifically engineered for freestyle, pretty much a race boat although I set mine up to get as much as I can out of the low end. I'm happy with it.

BTW dudes- It's almost Brap time.

Anyone that wants to be in Brapology 2 better hook up with us at the North Channel launch, Lake St. Clair. The GoPro will be a ready for action/mayhem.

'The Science of Brapology' has 2500 hits. Veeeery popular! LOL.

Hey steve I had wrote on your profile but I was just wondering if you could give me a few tips on installing the PLD pole? I had trouble mounting my steering cable wondering what you did for that and if you had any suggestions? thanks mike

Okay well when i got the pole it came with a little piece of stainless steel that would hold the steering cable but it didn't say how to mount it to the pole or anything

Ok, I gotcha. The pics will help. As I recall, there had to be a bit of fine tune adjusting. Once you understand how it goes, you'll be fine.

After reading the description on the flow control valve it seems they are both very adjustable ..great to here about the ski..but dang that sucks! Not to add insult to injury but I'm at the Colorado river right now although my exhaust bolt broke off in the manifold otherwise I'd drop the ski in Tomo .

Very nice build. I'm getting my '92 750 up and running again (been sitting for 12 years) There were no carbon fiber hulls back in my day, if fact I was there at the Finals to see the first backflip, by Kantz and that was off a boat wake:)
Any ways I would like to update my ski with some mods I've missed over the years. I started off with a PLD pole, mocking it up right now.
Are those tubbies worth the price?
Did you do any mods to the hood for more air/less water?
I got a Factory Limited wet pipe, did you hook up your overheat sensor?

Thanks for the comments. The PLD pole works great and I recommend shortening it at least 2 inches, with 0* bars and short turn plate! The Tubby 2s are well worth the price almost a must for this ski. I have an extended Worx ride plate and the ski ride excellent. No, it's not a Backflip boat and it's not set up as such although it's a fast, recreational set up and throws Nose Stabs very well. Since the SXi-Pro needed some help on the low end, that's what I focused on and believe I maxed it out as best I can without totally breaking the bank. Raising head compression and a Factory Wet Pipe is the way to go, and No I did not hook up the overheat sensor. Another item which I believe is a good investment is the Water Control Valve ($60), once dialed in it will help on low end. Hood; I did plug the air inlet at the front and also plugged it up on the inside tube, too much water dumps in when underwater. I believe I had to carve out some material off the back air tube area to fit the Factory Pipe. Doesn't seem to starve for air. An Advanced Timing Plate will help too, esp the 92s.

Brap!
