Hello,

I've recently changed my Factory Flame arrestor with Blowsion Tornado arrestors and also changed the fuel hoses with a colored 1/4 hose, Could this hose reduce fuel quantity being feeded to the carbs?

I feel like i lost a bit of power, so I was looking around and was wondering about splitting the fuel line into each carburetor instead of the factory setting (please see attached pics) which has the second carburetor feeding from the return of the first one.IMAG0258.jpg

Will that have any effect on performance?

I'm open to suggestions, I have uploaded photos of engine before and after the change,

I could be wrong, but you just increased air flow to your carbs with those arrestors, you are probably running lean, the engine falls flat as you increase throttle, right? Put the stock box on the carbs and see if she goes back to normal. I did the same thing, and had the same symptoms. If that's the case, you have two choices, go back to stock, or adjust your carbs for the new arrestors.

I agree with jetpilot.

As for fuel line routing, you are stuck with what you have, the carb attached to the tank line has a diaphragm pump and that what feeds fuel to both carbs, if you were to just hook both carbs to separate lines to tank one carb would work and the other would have no fuel

your better off with the stock box anyway, keeps water out much better. You can pull out the rubber inlets on the lid for more flow if needed

Thanks to all you guys,

Little Franny,
I really want to keep the arrestors, so I need to look for a way to get more fuel in.

SXIPRO,
Thanks, I understand the water issue, but these increase my low end significantly,

Mark44,
Thanks, I'll be going back to stock fuel lines but what I really want is to increase combustion.

John Zigler,
Thanks, I do wanna keep the arrestors so how do I rejet and to which measurements?

I'm going to do another test run this weekend, I changed my NGK BR8ES spark plugs to NGK IRIDIUM BR8EIX ones,
Feedback on this guy's,please.

Like he said^^^, start turning the screws out. First, I would turn them in all the way and count the turns and write it down, just in case you loose you starting point or decide to go back to OEM. Then go back to starting point and start opening the screws 1/8 turn at a time till you reach the right point. Might be good idea to run the ski a little richer on oil while you are adjusting, don't want to run lean and seize the motor. Better yet, call with Skype John Zigler ^^^ and talk to him, it's worth the money. His number is right below his signature. Just remember he might be a 6-9 hours behind in time.

Hello my friends, Hope you're having a good Sunday,

Jetpilot, Little Franny, SXIPRO, Mark44, John Zigler & Kevbo,

I went to the beach yesterday to test the jet, The power is fine and I didnt have to tune the carbs, top speed was around 102KM/h.

What do you guys now about the MSD IMPROVED COIL???

Thanks & Regards,

tomski,

No secret friend, I bought the Jet completely stock then I added the following:
- Super Pump Cone
- Solas Dynafly Impeller (high compression one)
- Carbon Tech Reed Petals
- Blowsion SXR Racer Ride plate
- 2013 Jetinetics lightened charging flywheel
- Aquavein Stealth Pro Scoop Grate
- Blowsion Tau ceti Tornado arrestors
- NGK Iridium Spark Plugs

These parts + my crazy mechanic got me the jet I have today, the secret for speed is to find a way to keep the front of the jet from jumping around on the water, You can solve that with a tilt kit, there are many for sale but my mechanic made me one.

Regards,

That is a very impressive parts list. But I think you missed my statement; 102 KM/h equals 63 mph. You probably meant something like 82 km/h.

Tomski,

I get your point, I have a lot of respect for groupk and they are completely correct about the nose down issue therefore I have the tilt system, there is another thing that cuts your speed which is the jumping factor, a good intake grave and ride plate will help by keeping the pump always loaded.

Add me on Skype and we can go thru the details more easily,

There is a lot you can do on these jets, research Riva Racing and Blowsion,
