SXR 800 Pump replace or repair

750 and 800 pumps are the same. the ONLY difference is the cooling fittings tapped into the pump on the 800 are 1/2" instead of 3/8". You will need to enlarge the fittings on the 750 pump to match your 800 hoses.

The Stock 800 impeller IS a large hub. A large hub impeller helps to create more pump pressure reducing cavitation. You will want a 800 impeller. The Solas Dynafly works well.

Honestly the best option for a Stock 800 is the stock prop.

If you want to do ONE thing to stop cavitation on an SXR.... FILL THE PUMP SHOE VOIDS. Air gets in there and causes all kinds of cavitation.

Finally got to take the pump off today,it was easier than expected. But I won’t be sending to Atlantic jet sports because they told me they were now out of stock and not offering that service anymore. Bummer, but at least I have one that appears good.
