There is is significant difference in weight from a stock lightened flywheel with magnets removed to just a stock
lightened flywheel.

Never pulled the magnets on mine, but had it cut. Hmmmm, how much do the magnets weight?? I'm guessing you are also getting less resistance from not being 'magnetised?'

I run a vilder with almost no magnets, (they don't barely even charge it!)

I can't remember what the final weight was without the magnets. I do remember that it was comparable with most aftermarket aluminum flywheels

Took me a little bit to find it on PWCtoday but Shonuff did a good caparison with all the different techniques and flywheels back in 08.

The stock Kawasaki SXR magnets weigh around 0.20-lbs each times four plus the plastic and stainless housing that holds them in which is around 0.88-lbs total weight removed.

lol i meant yami's, got mixed up
The Yamaha flywheels need the magnets for the charge coil which powers the CDI unit so they can not be removed.

The stock Kawasaki SXR flywheel is 4.48-lbs and here are my lightened SXR flywheel weights.

Lightened Charging Flywheel Options:

Kawasaki SXR lightened 3.80-lbs
Kawasaki SXR lightened with ring gear and hub drilled 3.48-lbs

Lightened Non-Charging Total Loss Flywheel Options:

Kawasaki SXR lightened TL magnets removed 2.92-lbs
Kawasaki SXR lightened TL magnets removed with ring gear and hub drilled 2.60-lbs

All the stock, lightened and aluminum flywheel weights are listed here: http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/37809-...aki-amp-Yamaha-Lightened-Flywheels&highlight=

So for an SXR

Stock= 4.48 lbs.
TBM Charging = 2.18 lbs.
TBM TL = 1.85 lbs.

Zero, if you can make a stocker 2.6 lbs with TL, that is great! Next time I break my Vilder, I'll send you a stocker. What is the cost for this?

Less resistance???? Not sure, but the weight of an SXR flywheel makes a HUGE HUGE difference on low end snap. I feel it is the key to making SXR motors rip out of the hole.

How long time does your battery hold when its not charge?

I have a 12V 18AMP in mine and love to have fun days with friends and family thats meaning maybe 20-30start ups on a day, is that possible?

I can usually get 2-3 tanks of gas out of a charge. Probably about 30-40 starts and an 1100 Rulemate Bilge.

My brother recently just fixed my charging...guess some coil was hooked up wrong...
