SX/SXi/SXi Pro sxr cylinders on my sxi?

it should work without issues. Im having my cylinders ported and punched out to a 800 now but I think the 800sxr has better porting stock

Yea it will work. Only diff is port timing. It could be a pro or con depending on what you want to build. One plus is you've got more cylinder to bore.

yeah it can only be done with the big pin, i did a sxr cylinder on my sxi pro and its awesome, but i got it done by jetworks with blackjacks and a FFP so it had a lil xtra, also ive heard the port timing on the small pin was better then the big pin 750 for bottom end, but the sxr cylinder is better then both

The low port SXR cylinder is more responsive and more forgiving to over propping than an SXI. I think a stock SXR cyl with a dry pipe has response/power equal to expensive BB Yamahas with B-pipes. The 750cyls are better for top speed and 800cyls for throttle blipping.

:scratchchin: ...sounds like more power to me. :headbang:

Current setup is definitely for more top end. I'll have to convert to the sxr cylinders when I feel like tearing the motor apart, as I'm more of a fan of low end bump!

crap, i didnt think about the big pin/ small pin issue, mines a 95 sxi, guess im stuck with my 750 cyl. Oh well ive spent years riding a js440, and only riddin my sxi twice now
even bone stock it feels like a rocketship compared to my old ski

Why do you say that? I'm going to have to agree with Kawikazi.

I second that, call Tim at Zforce, he knows his stuff and can advise you on what to do. I cant see why it would matter. There is a 800sxr cylinder with pistons and everything you need to swap it in on the stuff for sale section, I just read it yesterday. Think it was 1000 shipped

im going to be boring my small pin 750 for 82mm pistons, which is what the stock sxr cylinders are so aside from actually having sxr cyinders, i dont see why you couldnt do it with a small pin, wiseco offers up to 85.5mm pistons for small pin engines. if i could find sxr cylinder for a reasonable price i would try it.

mattchow88, sounds like a good plan, im ordering a wisco top end kit with 82 mm pistons this weekend. So does this put us somewhere close to 800cc?
