SXR Differences

Looking at picking up an SXR. I was told to try to stay away from the 03's... Something about the ignition?
What's the differences between the years for the SXR other than colors?

I believe the 03's used the old style ignition that the 750 SXi Pro used. 2004+ had the new digitial ignition.

I wouldn't sweat it too much if the ski you are looking at buying is an 03.

Agreed. You can't go wrong either way. The only ski you can use an MSD enhancer with is the 2003, so if you plan on using an enhancer do not buy an 04 and up....but thats not a big deal. Just a heads up.

If you want to advance the timing on the 03 you need a timing spacer kit, but only have to jump out the under hood temp switch on the 04 and up to get a few degrees. Once again, not a very big deal either way.

I have an 06 and love it. Great skis.
