Due to the weight and strain on the head and cylinders I would shy away from it. the pipe has been known to crack at the mounting tabs (lord mount tabs)

Wax from 03-06 I used my dry piped limited in the surf. It was OK and I only switched because I built a surf sxr. The wet pipe makes it so you don't have to cut the hood and keeps the weight down low. If you plan to try rolls and backys you might want the wet pipe. If you plan just to rec ride it you'll be fine with the dry pipe.

The wet pipe makes great power. Plus the power is down low to mid where you need it. The Dry pipe is a race pipe, it does pull strong from bottom to top. But use a pipe for what it was designed for.
