Sxr engine plate ?

I was wondering if some people could post pics of how they are cutting weight on the engine plates. I don't want to have my engine braking off in the hull. Also I will be trying backflips this year, so chances are I will be landing upside down.

I will have to look when I get home. I did have some pics saved from eBay where someone was selling a lightened stock bed plate. From what I remember they trimmed the large cut outs bigger. They also trimmed a little off the front and back edges and inbetween the motor mount holes. I personally warn against this because the large cut outs as well as the front and back edges are rounded over. This extra metal bent over the edges aids in strength.

You might want to look into an aluminum plate from Jet Ski Haven or try and find an Ocean Pro original on eBay.

Thanks, for the help! I dont know if its worth $175 for 2 pounds though. What kind of weight are people dropping off the stock plate?
