i need help to remove stock flywheel anyone knows where to get puller? fast!

Harmonic Balancer Puller. Sold many places.

I was wrong... See post #12.

The Kawi flywheels don't use a standard "harmonic balancer puller" like the Yamaha's. You have to use a 18mm threaded bolt that screws into flywheel and pushes onto nose of crank..

I stand corrected, because I tried to take mine off today and was at a loss.

You are correct about the 750 and 800. However, my 650 stuff all used the harmonic balancer puller.

I know that here in California there are O Reilly auto parts stores and they actually loan tools out for free for I believe 24 or 48 hours, then if you don't return it they charge you. But if you take it back its free. I have borrowed steering wheel pullers(which I used on my flywheel when I needed something in a pinch and have borrowed there cylinder sleeve for easy install of pistons/rings into case. So I would call local auto parts store and see if they have any tools to borrow. I would also order one from optima racing so you got one

i use an old kawasaki 400/440 steering pivot bolt. its not a stud like the newer ones, but an actual bolt. works great cause its very short. swanny says 18mm. i like to put a ball bearing in there also, for the bolt to push on instead of the crank snout.

an old kawi steering pivit bolt ? good to know .. I had a fly wheel of and brought it to brafasco years ago .. odd size bolt .. I bought about 6 of them at a few bucks each .. was my favourite puller for these flywheels . gave them out one by one last one leant out and didnt come back .. loved it more thasn my actula official puller .. it had a much larget head and was much shorter too .. went back to brafasco only to find out they shut it down :(
your going to love using this puller though .. when you get one .. .. so much easier than a harmonic balancer puller on other models ..

I'm sure it's easier, but I'm not a shop mechanic pulling flywheels all day long. I much prefer my yamaha and 650 kawi stuff that all works with one $14 tool, as opposed to my 750 kawi that requires it's own specific $14 tool. Good deal for shops, bad deal for small time guy with a few different skis.

The puller for the 750 flywheel is a bolt. It's 18mm -1.25mm pitch. It fits in the hole that the bolt, that holds the flywheel, threads out of.It threads into the flywheel hub and pulls it off of the crank. It's nothing like a 650 or a 440/550 flywheel/puller setup. Jim

if you have an extra drive shaft laying around you can bend it into a 90, then take the coupler off of it and you have your very own homemade coupler pulling tool and 750 flywheel puller. i have one and it works great, the motor has to be out to use it but its ez
