Hey guys, I have an 05 SXR 800 that I've had for a couple of years and I have set up for the stock class to race a little here and there. Unfortunately I yanked my shoulder out of place(again) and will most likely be going in for surgery soon so I am looking to change directions a bit with my ski. I would really like it to be a good jumper but it's pretty heavy. In all honestly by the time I gut or replace the hood, put a factory pipe on it and a waterbox with footholds would I be better off just buying a superjet with maybe just a pipe on it? I know everyone has their opinions and brand preferences but I already have $6000 in this SXR with a brand new crank and wiseco pistons so I know the condition of everything. If the superjet is that good of a jumper compared to the SXR should I just sell my SXR and buy a superjet any run it mostly stock? I don't have anything with a round nose superjet anywhere near me to test ride and since I'm hurt I would like some honest opinions. I would like to have all this sorted out by next summer so hopefully I can have a good time injury free. Thanks guys!
