Loosen gas cap, let out pressure. Tighten. Crank. Never ride with the cap loose.

Thats what I did. The only time it was loose was on the drive down to the ramps on my trailer...didn't want pressure to build up.

EITHER WAY....it's not gas pressure. Something else.

Mine has been having the same problem lately. I have not rebuilt my carbs since 07 so that might have something to do with it. I was also wondering if I might have a little water in the carbs.

I'm guessing it is getting super hot out there and you are now running rich.

I jet my carbs for the summer temps. I had just finished tuning my low end a hour before the steering cable snapped. I know that I am still a little rich up top but that should not affect the starting. I still think that it is plausible that I am dribbling through my NS.

Burned up a piston...put a new one in...ran pretty good today, but still hard to start after a ride on the trailer or after riding it.

Tore the carbs out today. coupler attaching the two carbs was loose, causing one of the flaps to delay opening...Ripping carbs apart in about an hour to get a close look

Yes, :):):):)ty carb coupler. It won't stay tight...(it didn't fit). It was causing one carb to be closed and the other open at idle. Once I got this problem fixed, it ran great.
