SXR Sxr racer\broke ankle update

After the orthopedic doctor today my xrays show i have a crack and a chip tibial, and i broke my fibial. I will be going in again in the morning for CT scan and again thursdaday for surgery to get a screw and a plate. I really want to say I am so thankful for everybody that helped in getting me and my boat to the beach, I knew only a few of you guys and only by face.BIG THANKS GOING TO EVERYBODY AT WAVE DAZE SATURDAY OCTOBER 8TH 2011!

Fib isn't a huge deal exept the swelling after surgery, hope the tib is ok tho, that can be bad.

funny thing is it didnt look to bad. looked like a normal yard sale. what happen you hit the bottom with your foot.? good job waving your hands over your head right away. i was in fast fast as i could get there. i didnt get to you but was trying to stop the rest of the riders that were coming.

Sorry guys the meds have been getting the best of me, today is about the closest ive felt like myself since monday. Well surgery went good im not sure what ive got in my foot yet i think its just a couple screws. I get my stitches out and a hard cast monday so then ill know for sure whats in there hahaha. My time until recovery is 6 to 8 weeks but imll do my best to make it as short as possible. Thank all of you guys for the concern and support it seriously means alot I appreciate it!

So what was the verdict on how this happened? Was it from bailing and hitting bottom or did you come out of the tray and then land on back in it after the ski landed? From the way your ski looked getting verticle off the wave I'd say the latter.

Either way hope you have a speedy recovery and get back out there soon!

I think he hit the tray or ski. Im 6'3 and it was up to my chest where he was, and I got on his ski to ride it in.

Dang guys I hate getting away from the computer and leaving yall hangin, my bad. What happened was, when I landed i was out of the tray maybe an inch but I hadnt braced myself for the distraction of water in my eyes and this was nobodys fault. I timed a wave that was coming in wrong and didnt gas it to get over it so the next wave I hit, I hit it blind and jumped, the next when i hit coming down and that was the one that got me. Thank everybody so much again. update on the ankle...stitches are still in and a cast put on monday, not much pain, havnt had to take medicine since wednesday, I go back in 10 days from monday to get the cast taken off and staples put in. FAMILY CRITICISM ABOUT TO PISS ME THE HELL OFF, I CAN NOT STAND IGNORANCE AND HOW UNSUPPORTIVE THEY HAVE BEEN, I DONT THINK JUST BECAUSE I BROKE MY ANKLE IN THE OCEAN ON A JET SKI THAT MAKES IT FUNNY.
