oh yeahh!
great choice seeing it was listed it as a iirc 170 or more hp engine.riiiiiight, suuuuuuuure.
I haven't built kawi bb's i went by the "estimated" dyno sheet supplied by Kommander to the guy i bought the motor from.... I believe the curve was 152-162hp in that range based on the same engines they built the same way... after seeing that these little motors just don't put that out, I will say I am skeptical, but I will say it still rips the way it is... and it's a complete kommander build motor completely ported and match ported to intake/exhaust etc..... so Restosud, if you have anything actually constructive to say, please do so. If not then move on and stop thread dumping

simple krenn.seems you're ready to buy this boat from under him and i'm the douche?

then you purport to be a pro and use this forum to sell parts as such, but when you get called out on a part you're trying to pass off onto unsuspecting buyers you then claim ignorance.so what are you then? a real pro or just someone who is unaware of the technology this sport offers?if so, how can you claim to be a pro.
and please,stop yelling.my ears hurt :)
cheers.

as vomit says, putting anything less than an 800 back in this boat is a waste of time and motors can be had complete with all electrics for $1500 to 1800 so still a good deal for the op,and long blocks come up for sale also for even less $$

in NO way did I try to buy this boat out from under him.... I said if he didn't want it, then I would.... I guess you don't understand what that means.... I am a professional. When I see a dyno sheet from Kommander with my own eyes, I tend to believe it. Not every mechanic can know exact dyno numbers on every engine made (seadoo, yamaha, polaris, kawasaki, T.s., wet jet, all the jetboats even the new Scarrab) from stock to a full blown modified with out some help, so on that 1 ad, it was my bad and I own up to it.... No reason to keep hashing it.

So I went a took a look at the ski the pervious owner took the engine apart trying to fix it. It looks like the top half of the engine is gone, crank case and Pistons are still there. Over all everything esl is in great shape. Is it still worth it?

so no carbs, no jug and no head? pistons are still attached to the rods? usually when an engine "throws a rod the rod is no longer attached to the piston and the cases are usually damaged. whats your end goal? do you want to fix ski and ride it or do you want to part it out?

It did throw a rod the piston wasn't attached the case had a big pice missing out of it. What I didn't see was the top half, exhaust was all there. My plan was to fix the engine. But I could probably just buy a bolt on replacement. I plan to run bouys with it.

price sounds a little high, 800's are not the easiest thing to come by and when you find them they are not cheap. Your gonna spend at least $1500 on a used long block and then you need carbs and a manifold?
After it all said and done $4000 isn't a bad price for one of these is it?

So he had everything put away in a toat. I think I'll try to rebuild just need a new bottom end.
