Sxr yellow gel coat

If anyone has this issue with there sxr here is the cure all answer to fix it. I tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it but nothing ever worked.....until my buddy literally took two minutes and sprayed it down with acid. Its called on/off boat cleaner. You can pick it up at west marine or any marine store. He basically sprayed it on then rinsed. DONE. Looked as white as the day I bought brand new, and it lasts. It's been a couple months now and still looking good.IMG_20140218_100158_619.jpg

Ski looks good!.....I have a buddy who uses simialy stuff on the scum line of his boat, he always hits the area with some polish and wax after. I have seen that stuff get barnacles off...marykate i think its called.

When you say "yellow" gel coat you mean how the hull gets darker than the hood? Because my 06 hood is brighter than my hull and it bothers me more than a crusty a$$ hole lol

Exactly, my hull seemed to turn a yellowish/light brown over the years. If you spray this acid on it will look brand new. I'm pretty sure this is it.IMG_20140227_120214_193.jpg

I'm not to sure. My buddy was real careful when he applied it. He used a spray bottle and only applied it to the top deck. There was a little over spray on the primer knob, left some white specks.

And don't forget to rinse. He applied one coat to entire top deck. Then lightly rinse off. You don't want that stuff on your skin either. Hope this helps.

Yea it def does my hull has mat glue on it and it's just kinda yellowish now I noticed it the other night but didn't think anything of it . I didn't know there was a cure . I'm gonna order some today thanks

I don't think it will actually . It says on the label that it will eat fabric metal plastic and wood . But I guess it's safe for the gel coat lol . U can hear it sizzle . When u spray it on
