I think I have a very small crack in my chamber due to exhaust residue on my pipe. I've been having problems with off idle bog that I thought was a carb issue but couldn't tune it out. Possibly a symptom of a cracked pipe?

I've not seen one but your correct, if that crack is leaking exhaust into the engine bay it can run like poop and displace the oxygen .. Could you temporarily mask it with duck tap it or silicone it to verify it ?

a tiny crack that seeps goop is not going to smoke out the engine compartment. I doubt if that's your problem. use silicone gasket maker instead of JB. it flexes and JB will crack in 2 seconds. off idle bog could mean lean hesitation or too rich. open or close the bottom screws 1 turn and test it.

Jb weld will hold for a bit but the crack will just continue to grow under and past the epoxy. The best thing to do is drill the ends of the crack so there is no centerpoint to the stress and grind out the crack as small as you can width wise and have it welded. If you can clean the inside of the pipe where the crack is who ever is welding it will appreciate it.

Buzzard is right about the JB Weld, it won't even last 1 ride before cracking. I tried it on a dry pipe of mine, ended up having to grind all the JB weld off and bring it to be professionally welded, then paint.
