I’ve been searching for some plexus ma 320 to glue down a tank pod (per recommendation) and can’t find it anywhere. Is there a substitute I could use that would be as good or does someone have a link?

5200 or thickened epoxy with cabosil. Any type of panel adhesive should be OK as well. West marine sells a thickened epoxy "six10" adhesive that comes in a caulk gun style tube that would also be a good option.

Have you used the six10? What would be better that or 5200 more permanent the better haha

Gflex works well too especially of you mix in a little cabosil.

Yes, I have used the six10. It's awesome stuff. It's thick enough that it doesn't sag, cures in 24 hours, is premixed with the tip and be easily reused with a different tip at another time..

5200 works well too it just takes like a solid week to fully cure.

4200 cures faster, but I do not like either as well for hull work, because if you later want to switch something around or crack hull under tank then you are left with a mess to work with. If you use an epoxy type product, then it is basically the same as your hull. You can sand, grind, shape and do std repair work with glass or carbon and epoxy.

Seems like gflex is the preferred product. How much cabosil should be added? Is it ok to use without, i don’t mind buying it if it means my pod isn’t going to come up. Also like the idea of the six10 using a caulk gun as well as auto mixing.
