Taylor Curtis TC Freeride XFS Ninja Build

So, everyday I learn something new about our jetski world. I research till I drive myself and wife nuts. 20 or so years I did the whole blaste, SJ and HX thing. Thinking the standup world didn't the exist anymore. A couple years ago I realized not the case! Have made many friends and reenergized my love for the sport. As I usually do with anything I jumped right in with a Rickter Edge with a TPE 964. Ridiculous ski, engine and build! But like the few boats I have had it takes a few to figure out what you want. Especially since test driving certain boats and skis that aren't always accessible, you have to roll the dice. The edge turned out perfect! But, I soon leaned I wanted a freestyle ski for flatwater as I rarely make it to the ocean. So, coming to the conclusion with some help from team rickter and Taylor it seemed like the xfs ninja fit the bill. Yet, another expensive chance to take. But, since the edge/tpe held its value to the penny I figured it was a safe bet.

Taylor and TC Freeride have been amazing! The comfort level he provided through the whole build kept me excited and not a basket case. I pretty much left it up to Taylor once he knew what I was looking for. He has built more rickters than anyone in the world!, I believe. He works very closely with people like Rick Roy and Hiro. Having someone involved to an extent in the hull design you can't go wrong. In my opinion Rickter quality is as good as it gets. There are many good ones out there, but I'm a creature of habit. You take care of me and I'll support you and be a loyal customer till death! So, goimg with Rickter was a no brainer. Taylor has has it down! His rickter recipe for what you want and with each motor is down to a science. He doesn't deviate and sticks to what works. Knowing this and being confident in his work turned out a ski and build that was more than I could have ever dreamed! I'm like a child and like shiny things. This motor and ski is more like a piece of art. If you are looking for a builder or ski especially Rickter there is really no other option imo if you want the best. I'll pay for reliability any day of the week. I don't have the know how and see too many people wrenching at events. That's great if you know how, I wish I did. But for someone who wants the best and little to know maintenance, do yourself a favor and call Taylor. Professional and keeps in contact. I didn't have to call once and see where we were at. That's very rare! Not to mention the build took him about three days. Updated me more than weekly. He's cool as sh*t, easy to talk to and continues to build confidence. The world we live in this doesn't really exist much anymore in any business. Everyone out for themselves to make a quick buck not thinking about business or the future. I've heard the horror stories, read some hear and seen some first hand. Taylor is solid, honest as they come and a perfectionist. For those of you who know me see I probably maintain my toys more than ride. I guess a self proclaimed "poser" to an extent for the toys I have. But, my $ so who cares.... anyway from my experience and having two professional level skis built I would hesitate a second useing TC Freeride. We are already planning the next one! Any questions for me please feel free to ask. I can only share my experiences, technically I know very little. I will update as time goes on with my new baby. Sorry for the ramble, but a build and customer service like this deserves some recognition.

I love the ninja footholds and the tray. My edge had regular ones and I liked the feeling to release easy. Being secure and locked in actually boosts my confidence.
Same here. Way more confident when you know your not going anywhere
