I've got one on my stock SX-R and she hooks nicely but is it a $300 gain . . . . ?

Probably not.

I beg to differ compared to a $1000 mag pump I think it is worth $300. I had one on my SXR it worked great. I have two of them on the superjets. I really noticed a difference on them vs the SXR. A big part of the reason my little black limited sticks to the water and handles so well is because of the pump cone.
I have one on the Square too which stopped it porpoising imediately. The square could use a little me hp to bring the cone up to its potential.

Your boat works GOOD. Especially considering what's in it.

Awsome feed back guys. I am gona oreder mine soon. Not realy sure what I am gona run for a impeller. Right now I have a 13-17concord and a 10-18 scat, not sure if its a swirl. I will probabyl just test both of those, and possibly send the 13-17 to impros and try a 12-15 like Paradadys setup.

Has anyone tried a 13-16 or 13-17 scat Mag prop????? That is what Kevin at Legdrag recomended to me with my soon to be motor setup.<---motor in sig.

I might have to agree with shonuff. For my SJ, i had two pumps one with a 12/17 skat swirl(not c75 prop) and another with a skat 12/17 swirl (not c75 prop) and the TBM pump cone and to me the difference was hard to notice, it might hook up a little bit better in white wash, but like i said it's hard to notice.

Now on the other hand, I was running a stock ported motor w/ daul 44's, pipe, head, msd, and lightened flywheel. so i can't say that i know what the difference would be on a ski with big power.

In my opinion if your on a ski with nothing spectacular for a motor, I'd put the money towards something else like carbs, porting or a head.

Bump, anymore reviews on these lately? I want to get one for my SJ.

I have had good sucess with Mine.... 12/17 big hub scat, 85mm nozzle bore, stubby cone, 780cc TLR freestyle ported Flattop, duel 46's....the added hookup really helps in the surf.... and no more weight in the tray where I really dont need it.

I hope to still be able to run this setup with a stock cylinder 62T, 61x setup. If I can pull the prop with the 85mm bored nozzle and stubby that would be great, but sounds like im asking for too much.... May have to throw in the old blaster prop untill I get the bigbore back together.... I will check back after testing on the stock cylinder 62T/61x/single taperbore 44, and 650 chamber wet pipe.

Cambo, don't forget that many people on this site ride on lakes and rivers.

If you ride surf, these things are fooken awesome for the money. They really shine in the white water.

You don't need 4000hp either. I have ran them on decent ltd setup sjets.

Thats pretty much what my thoughts are as well! I will have a better 2 cent on a limited setup in a few weeks time. :bigok:

Been looking at these guys and stumbled on this thread.

Im running an impros 13/15 33 setback in my 785 flattop ported motor on 48s.

My nozzle is bored 1mm over and im running a blueprinted pump and stubby cone.

Do you think i'll gain much with this on my setup? i ride mainly in the sea as opposed to lakes.

i run one with a c-75 12/17 skat swirl. medium cone of the three they supply

the only other motor mods i have are b pipe and ada head @185 psi, stock airbox.

it makes a hell of a lot of difference in the surf.. especially the whitewater like people have stated before. the hookup is the important part for me, and i am not making tons of power with my setup either.

my buddy is running the same thing on a 61x single carb motor with pipe and a head, and slight overbore but nothing huge. his prop is a 14.5-18 solas small hub though.....

he has more bottom end than i do, but his will tend to slip a bit more than mine in the rough water.

if you are looking for hookup in the surf i suggest it.
ill be buying one for my blaster this winter
