Thinking about adding a lightweight charging flywheel to my ski. Don't want to send mine out to get lightened. Is the TBM that much better than the others on the market?

for example....the jetnetics @ blowsion is $475ish vs the $600 for the TBM....does the TBM make up for this difference in price?

Don't know...have a Vilder, but both of my Vilders the outer ring popped off. If you get a used Vilder, drill some holes in it and put some pins in to make sure the outer ring doesn't spin off. It is just epoxied on.

TBM charging made a huge difference on my boat. The boat is really snappy now!

Make sure to mark your flywheel and check the timing with any aftermarket flywheel. The MFGs tend to cheat by adding some advance making them more responsive than they would otherwise be. This is a disaster if an advance plate or very high compression is also used. I had a Vilder that toasted a piston with its built in 5* advance, once the timing was backed off there was little difference between a it an a stock flywheel. It may be more noticeable if you tend to fan the throttle a lot, I do not so it was a big waste of money.

I would by the TBM because they stand behind their product. I had a problem with one of their flywheels, they replaced it without question.
