SXR TDR waterbox help

I bought a TDR waterbox for my sxr and and this is my first aftermarket part. I started putting it on but can't figure out how to get the fuel tank out? I have he tank totally disconnected and took exhaust off. Any tips or how to tricks would be greatly appreciated!

hey ya i just did mine this week you have to take your pipe off (and out is better) and then you take the crankcase front cover off its not that bad then. Then you can fight the tank out of there, then the waterbox i just loosened the 2 hose clamps closest to the box. Put the new one in and then do everything in reverse.

Thanks for the help, I decided to wait on the install, might be getting the new last 2 stroke sxr so I can put it on that.

I am no expert on the SXR but I took pipe out, tank is fully disconnected, but if i tank that case cover off won't I need to change the oil and stuff? For some reason this tank doesn't want to come out lol

its a two stroke....there is no oil to change, it should be dry in the flywheel area also. pull the motor it is not hard

haha ya thanks man I pulled the motor earlier and just swapped them. Sorry for my noob comment
