got a question for the locals. i have a friend that lives in NY and he said everyone on the water needs a boaters license. is this true or what is the deal. not that i care to much about the water pigs. i just want to know if i should beach my ski if i see one of them comin around?

Actually, under NYS law, yes... anyone riding a jetski is required to have a safe boaters class and have a license, which is given by the coast guard auxillary typically. Out of state boaters licenses are fine.

Having said that, more than likely we will not see any marine police... too late in the year. In our area they are usually out during busy holiday weekends.

Currently camping is being negotiated, it will be a very very good deal. With the sponsors, etc, this should be a great time by all. We are really going out of the way to take care of everyone with these deals so please, respect the camping areas when you are here.

Looks like I am not going to be able to make it now. The old Mikuni BN44 finally died over the weekend and with leaving for the east coast for two weeks this Saturday I won't have time to replace it by then.

Oh well, maybe next year.

95% sure i'll be there Saturday. I've never rode surf any of the 4 times i've ridden a standup (my standup that is), should be interesting. Who can lend me a beach cart to launch?
