Where would we have to send things and how long is the turnaround?
Sorry totally missed this.
I’m in PA and as of now I can only typically get in the shop on weekends. I would have your parts done within the day and in the mail as soon as possible. I can make exceptions for certain cases but until we relocate the shop is 45 minutes from me which makes it hard to make trips for small orders

Treated pump bearings, devising up a zero deviation test rig soon.
Did some research on the corrosion properties of the material we blast with and I’m hopeful on this adding some layer of resistance.
Bottom pic is roller rockers (customer is testing oil retention on hard turns for us as this is a common failure item for him) bottom untreated, middle stage 1/2 of blasting, top final treatment.
Still offering this to anyone who would like to try it out for free.
I can also price USA made bearings on virtually anything criminally cheap.

@fx1mark

I know JM can get them. I recently got a whole midshaft setup for my other ski from him. I'm asking DylanS. Read his last post.
I did read his last post. If you read his first post he said "I’m looking for a few guys that would be willing to send me pistons/bearings for me to “treat” them and send them back for testing and reviewing." I was just trying to be helpfull.

Can you get bearings for a midshaft? Looks like I'm going to have to rebuild mine.
Yup, I can get USA made mid shaft bearings for you at 3 dollars a piece untreated and 8 a piece treated not including shipping.
I do not supply seals/clips ATM (and do not plan on it unless people show significant interest) but you can get them through JM at 21 a set I believe.
You can source a NSK set for around the same price as a treated set BUT I would be willing to bet you will see double the longevity if not more.

In your case im willing to sell you the bearing at my price and treat it for free!

That sounds great! I'm in Canada. It makes no sense to have a set of bearings shipped here, then ship them back over the border to you. Lets move this to the DM's for next steps. Since I have a brand new midshaft assembly waiting to be installed, I'll be able to do a comparison on feel.

Sorry Mark, that came off more rude than I was intending. I'll most likely be going to JM for the rest of the parts, but it makes more sense to get the discounted bearings from the source.

I’m finishing up a batch of midshaft bearings today, I will have 4 sets (1 treated 1 untreated) that I’m willing to give away if you cover shipping. You’ll receive one treated bearing one untreated bearing no seals both degreased and oiled so you can compare them yourself. You can run any grease you’d like but I will include some of MY grease along with the bearings.

I got a chance to compare a treated and untreated bearing side by side. With grease removed, there seems to be a slight difference in rolling resistance (better). It's definitely a treatment rather than coating. There's no buildup on the bearing. I can't say much about wear. Maybe I'll update in another 15 years.

Next rebuild, I'm going to get this treatment done to my pistons. I could see it making a difference.
