True Dat .today we push things harder than ever ,its a vidoe game era . technology has advanced in its state of the art form ,and refined the raw 2 stroke power ,Freestyle jet ski's being one of the last breeds where 2stroke technology is still being explored and advancing.

and sleds and dirtbikes.... and as far as port work and efficiency most all 2 strokes are way ahead of us... :( but that manifesto is awesome in ways. i believe naive in some ways. but i will have an oil burner for life.

Article on some of the newer tech that companies are doing with 2-strokes. Although the article is 7 years old..

http://www.snowgoer.com/snowmobiling-features/why-2-stroke-direct-injection-is-a-big-deal/1021/

The biggest, most complex and heaviest of the conceptual automotive two-strokes is Toyota’s design. The engine is basically one of the company’s dual-overhead cam, four-stroke engines converted to run a two-stroke cycle. The camshafts run at crankshaft speed and air is delivered to the intake valves through a supercharger. Fuel is added through a high-pressure, direct-injection system. An in-line, six cylinder, 244 cubic-inch version of this engine is said to produce torque equal to GM’s 454 V8.

Right i think i have seen those motors being run in GP cars but only as an experimental project .also the sled industry is still a great innovator and pushing the technology forward ,Kudos to them ! .But as far as the mx industries "Quote the big 4 '' have dropped out of the 2 stroke race ,but company's like KTM ,Beta ,Gasgas ,Husqvarna are still doing R&D and developing they have turned 2 stroke mx development into a smaller niche, kind of like our sport

good read! and I liked his statment , QUOTE: '' The essence of marketing is newness…which is why people get new cell phones every six months…even though the old one still makes phone calls.''
