they are fun skis, only down side is they are 9' long and 600lbs empty. good lake cruiser, but by no means the learning curve of a SJ or 80's JS. the above post is correct, its a sit down with the seats chopped off.

let see it flip!

There is a local guy here that rides his damn near year around and has for at least five years now. He loves that thing. Whatever gets you out on the water and having a blast.

God it's all warm and fuzzy in here... Am I still on the X?

Glad to have you on BigMan, I'm kinda curious to see you ride it. You say you're a hoss... Pics or it didn't happen! ;)

Lol, thanks for the acceptance. If it makes any difference to anyone, this was not purchased to be a learner, it was 300 bucks with a title, and it just needed a battery and some fresh gas. Some of you have already read the story behind this 3D and how I got it, I'll post the link to that thread if anyone else would like know. I'll also get some other pics and vids up ASAP.

Welcome.... innovative mods, nice work.

But - Visser can make any behemoth look pretty good in the surf. I am guessing that was a session either sponsored by SeaDoo or Visser just manning up and seeing what could be done.
There are some rather large dudes rocking some pretty small skis, give it some time and you can get there.

Have fun in the mean time.

I can ride a stand up, was playin around on my buddies SN yesterday. I ride my buddies sxr's all the time, even managed to get up on an old 550. That was tough, just has no ball to pull me around.

I have one of these also. That was whispered in a teeny tiny voice. All b.s. aside, I had a blast on it. If I had a trailer that would hold my 4 main skis along with my 3D and maybe my XP, it would go along every trip. Not gonna lie, the little skis get all my love, but the 3D is pretty cool for what it is. I think Bigman's has the 951? My XP has the 951 and my 3D has the 800 (????).

Ride it like a boss and keep trying to rock your buddies skis. You may decide to keep the 3D and snatch up a wee lil' ski to ride, also.

That's the plan. There will be a stand up in the garage before too long, but I think the 3D is going to hang around for a while. The wife loves it, even tho she rides the sxr pretty good, she likes this more. My lil boy loves goin for rides on it too, he gets mad when we stop. Also have an old Polaris sl650, it's a fun lil couch, but it's a couch... My kid like riding on it too, but it must not be fun enough cuz he falls asleep after about 10 minutes?

Heres a pic of it how I got it for FREE, came with the trailer too.

And this is it now,

There are a couple old guys that are at least 80 years old that go down to body beach and ride 2 of those. Even in the middle of winter those 2 old men and their dry suits are down there riding their 3D's once a week... More power 2 them. They ride in stand up mode too.

Stuff a 951 in what? The 3D has a 951 Di. Its way more than plenty fast, high 50's I believe. But it lacks bottom, could be because it weighs 600+ pounds or because I weigh 300, maybe a lil bit of both. But it needs a prop, intake grate, ride plate, and sponsons. Still trying to come up with a finger trim set up, but not having much luck.

Dude, you only weigh 300??? Hell, Tricky has a 1400cc TWIN in a newest version scream hull that would probably flip yo azz 20' in the air with a off idle blip of the ol trigger!!! Only draw back is that ski probably carries a 40k price tag if I were to guess. LOL
