No, never install the dampener while doing alignment.

I got to thinking about it after I posted...it would cause an offset if you tried to wedge it all in.

No. That would skew your alignment by trying to center everything against the will of the mounts.
Align with no dampener, then install dampener, keeping track of which shims go on each mount.

Got back at it a bit. Hull side and hood side hooks installed. I had to grind the inside lip of the hood as it was hitting the gas tank.

Used a piece of 1/4" aluminum angle to extend the reach of the front foodhold in an effort to move the electrical box to the right of the ski. If you try to mount it in the center of the foothold and have a Factory B-pipe, the head pipe interferes.

Laid down some B stock in areas to eliminate vibration and rubbing.

My predator didn't come with the plates drilled either and I also used couch mounts and I ALSO had the same problem you did with the height lol. I was able to slide the mounts allllllll the way out and it lined up good. Everyone is wild on this precision thing I marked, drilled, tapped all in the hull. No shims no problems lol

Those cold fusion mounts are gonna vibrate that thing apart the first couple rides I've heard from multiple people they need to break in.
