Who has got some good info on getting fiberglass to lay around the edge's and those sharp points? I can get it down just fine but it take for ever there has to be a great way to do it im not finding online?

Are you wetting out the glass with resin prior to fitting it to the back of the hull?
The glass will conform very nice this way and roll right around the sharp edges.
The other thing to do is make yourself a small form that will allow you to apply pressure to hold it inplace.

(vac bag is the way to go)

I wet out the area i want to put the glass on and then stick the piece of glass to it Same idea right? I think my biggest problem is i need to add more thickend epoxy to that 90 degree edge where the 2 piece meet. I am going to check it out in a few min i think the crease is not built out far enough to meet up with the other surfaces.

jp79 i did what u said to do i layed the cloth on a flat surface wetted out the back side instead of wetting out the hull and layed it on and omg what a would of diffirence thanks alot for the help you rock!!

Today is the day to get some glass work done get this project rolling so i can ride this winter since i missed the summer session GAY!!!!!!! o well it will be worth it.

Hard edges are very hard to glass, try beveling the edge more or using a lighter cloth with more layers. I've also messed around with using a thick plastic bag of water...is that ghetto enough? If u try this make sure that there is no way ur glass wrk will get wet haha duuu

So I would like some other opinions be for I order my domes from pro-tec. I have an idea what I think I want and I would also be using 104 octane unleaded Sunoco race fuel. I will highlight my choice and would like your opinion please. I forgot to tell u the bore is at 83mm on a 61x cylinder and just freestyle porting. I know bore will raise compression by 10psi but not 100% on that.

So I labeled them in order’s I would go. Want to stay under 200psi but have been told I should use a 84-85mm dome instead of the 82mm.

Call your engine builder, or DASA should be able to give you some usefull advice.

I'm running a 37cc 61x dome on an 83mm 61x. Sleeve match/race logic template porting. Stock 61x port timing. Makes 185psi.
Generally speaking though 185 is the limit for 91-93oct pump gas.. If you're running 104... then 2xx psi??
Also Call Pro-tec. They are SUPER helpful
They'll get you in the right domes.
