 Sweet! That takes Balls of unobtainium! Congrats! and the dude does not look like a spring chicken either! Whats Gils age?

I think that nosing it in is the only way I would want to land that.

About how deep do you think it was where he landed? Just curious.

This made a big polemic on french forums, because most of the people who were there said he didn't totally land it. I wasn't there, but after seeing the video, we can see he lands a bit upside down. This is the most succeeded attempted today anyway.
Let's see what's gonna be the answer to that...

Based on how fast you have to rotate and how it completely stops your forward movement when you hit, I doubt we'll see anyone truly 'ride it out', but I call that a double backflip for sure.

If you look at hit rotation at the peak, he was already one time around so he got it.

like i said on french forum , untill now I have never seen a double barel roll
lended but we still call that a double barel roll so I said respect gill you did it

On an earlier attempt he landed upside down. I'm pretty sure he broke a couple motor mounts then becuase he said the ski had a bad vibration, but he wanted to give it another shot.

When he landed the second time (the one from the video), the battery broke and the ski died. Presumably becaue of the previously broken motor mounts and/or newly broken mounts, the motor shifted and hit the battery. Or the battery was loose and flopping around after the first crash.

I believe that he could have ridden out of it if the ski had not died. As it ended up he floated up with the ski upside down.

I'm on hour 23 of my trip home now...waiting for my last connection home!

Guess this should have been a poll! :)

That was SICK!!!! He definately made it! That wasn't landing upside down--- I can show you what upside down is LOL!!! So he "lawn darted" it a little, no big-I'd definitly call that good. You know he'll have it down in a few more months anyway. A SUPER congrats to Gil!!!
