I remember 10-15 years ago you could not go into a Harley Dealer and buy any model you wanted. There was always a long wait, basically getting put in line............. Now it seams like you can go in and take your pick. Not sure if that is a good thing or not actually...... Dont care for Street bikes anyways.
Ducati went the same way. The Ducati’s used to have Italian components and quirky designs like the dry clutch and single-sided swingarm. It also was a motorcycle of culture like Harley Davidson. Now you can go into the dealer and get a $10k Ducati with double-sided swing arm, wet clutch, and majority Taiwanese components. These changes happened after being purchased by Volkswagen group.
So I’m kind of getting off topic, but the take-away is that the whole industry is changing and as much as I don’t like Trump, the Harley move isn’t his fault.
