@Roseand , Turf is definitely a sign of being on the home stretch.

@Everyone - What are all you guys doing for breather tubes for x-metal poles? It's 1.75" diam tubing right? I can't seem to find the right kind of suction/pool hose in the correct diameter online anywhere.

Man I'm telling you! I want nothing more but for this thing to be finished! Between work, weddings, living in the city, and not having a garage, this build has been like an unwelcome guest! Needs it in the water, not up on a bench.

This weekend I am going to beast mode on this thing. Pole and steering install, and hopefully electronics. Then I'm going to get me a start on some turf jobs. Next weekend I'm hoping to crack a bottle of maiden voyage bubbly over the hull and ride its sexy ass off into the sunset, majestically.

Nice! looks killer...definitely makes a statement. I haven't read back through build notes, what pole u gonna use?

440/550 spring with the stock SJ tank stop as a spring tentioner/bumper, nice. i tried a 440 spring but it was too weak. the billet SXR spring helper might look a bit cooler than the rubber with goop............ if you just had the arm coming straight out between the hoses and cut the L part off, it would clean up a lot too and you could center the rubber instead of having it offset.

I think it's actually a 650sx spring, it came on a little bracket that I had to cut off, but it's certainly got something in common with the 440/550 springs - it's pretty darn weak. I think it might take a pound or two off the pole weight even with that tank stop wedged under it.

The tank stop though isn't set there, that's the goop on it from the factory after it peeled off the floor of my girlfriend's SJ650. I'll probably pull it all off and lock it down with some 5200 if I decide to keep it there, but I'm not sure I am happy with the level of spring it provides as is!!

The pole install itself though is no fun exercise, so I might just leave it till next season, and tighten up the bolt a good bit to get that extra hold.
