The I cant go to Daytona thread again

were in the negative numbers here!!!! my dog wont even crap outside and its a f-in mountain dog! This truly has depressed me i may have to walk away from the x for a while to recover.....i hate being bored!!

I'm with you guys. It's not been a good week.

However, it's really strange how things happen/don't happen. As it turns out, there was a reason why I didn't go this year.

One of the co-founders of the law firm I work at, and a friend/mentor of 16 years, died on Sunday while heli-skiing in Canada. So I would have cancelled my flights/hotel and not gone to Daytona anyway.

Life's just weird.

wow so sorry to hear this. Do you know what happened? I really am sorry for your loss, I hope it was painless and he went out doing something he loved.

Not too many details have been released. About all we do know is that he wasn't buried in an avalanche and didn't hit anything, but died on the mountain while skiing.

He definitely went out doing something he loved. He skied at Vail almost every weekend and had went on this heli-skiing trip 6 or 7 times.

Glory- what a sad accident. No avvy and didnt hit anything makes me more curious but now is not the time. If you want to will you post up what happened when you know? I know B.C. has been horrible this year. At least 13 deaths just with avy's-

I'm just guessing, of course, but the only things I could think of were heart attack, stroke, or maybe fell in a "well"

It's -12 here right now. I had been planning on going to Daytona, but things just didn't work out.

I'm finally starting to get to know a few of the personalities around here, and it would have been awesome to put some faces with the attitudes.

I'm sorry to hear about everyone else who couldn't make it as well, for whatever reason. I guess this is motivation to put some extra cash and time off aside for next year!

I need to clean up the jealousy that I spilled on the desk now.
