And you can add features like buying parts online from people and getting screwed and having to spend hours of gameplay asking for money back and writing threads about it.

A 550 is too much for a beginner. You need to start on a js300 or a wave jammer.

Did you guys ever play the video game wave shark? It's a jet ski game. There aren't any AM hulls or powerfactor pipes, but it has some stand up skis. It's not the best game but it's better than no game.

why would anybody want to re-live that old nightmare of reality? isnt that what we already did since we started jetskiing? instead of wasting money on the game, upgrade your boat or buy a wetsuit so you can keep riding in winter.

When we race quads and go camping, I have a 18' trailer, it's white and I bring a projector. At night, after we are done riding, we play a number of games like Dirt 2 and etc. I don't skip riding to play games, but there are plenty of other times a good game would be fun. I loved Tony Hawk pro skater. I also love games where you can buy new parts and mod skills.

And buying expensive parts only to hack the crap out of them with your trusty virtual dremel and various other tools to make it fit correctly.

Hey even if what you want is to relive your horror stories via a game....it's possible we could make this happen. It would be a pc game of course. I'm not a programmer but that's the easiest medium for gaming to get something like this made. Getting in to an RPG setting we can have meters for every aspect of the boat you have to maintain. compression status, air leak tests, wear ring tolerance....

There would just be freemode and campaign. And the throttle should definitely be the right trigger, trim: left trigger, steering: left stick, body language: right stick, and then hand variations would be left button and right button for the corresponding hands. Add some sick ride spots, pro riders, and events and you have yourself a badass game. The main issue would be the graphics technology, I have never seen a game with solid surf construction, although GTA 5 is on the right track. If done correctly it would sell; anybody have millions to invest?

:):):):), we spent it all on jet skis. I think we were hoping this game would be free for X-h2o members. I think I speak for the all of us when I say... if we had an extra $60, we wouldn't buy a plastic disk, we'd be buying something billet.

Now, if you could make the game play from a billet disk, that also opens bottles, you'd have yourself a seller here. Actually, it doesn't even need to have a game on it. These guys keep buying billet that does nothing but open bottles.

Just had an epiphany... Apparently the stand up community is a bunch of drunks that like shiny objects with no regard for life or limb.

Edit: Just make that the game. It can be for the phone. Every time you post, you get $1 game money, then you use that money to buy cooler virtual billet bottle openers. I think everyone would be pretty happy here. Although, kind of pointless, since we all know Matt_E is going to win. We can compete for runner up I guess.

for it to happen it wouldn't be a commercial game. It would be a kickstarter where we all donated to pay a team of programmers and graphic designers to make the game. There are free game engines that do most of the grunt rendering of the physics and graphics. The work involved would be creating the physical ski models and programming the physics engine to make each boat react differently.

The graphics wouldn't be super great. Think playstation 2 style water rendering. As far as the controls the X community would have to all vote. This type of game needs analog joysticks and triggers to function properly so we'd all have to decide on what PC controller we want to use and then pick a driver for that pc controller so that just in real life body language and throttle is everything.

I like it. An "editor mode" to hack up hulls. It wouldnt be too much harder to add since you're essentially just creating a user interface for the code used to make the game physics. Take off 3 inches from the back and the game physics acts accordingly per specific hull. Rider's who own each hull's input is key to that.

Id preorder to help the game take off, it would be totally doable but I dont think they would have enough support to invest into making it a commercial game. It seams like we here on the X are probably about 75% of the market that would buy in and to a mainstream company we might as well be a group of ten people. That being said, It could also cause huge growth to our sport by shedding some light on it. Im always amazed at the amount of people out there that have no idea what these skis are capable of or what they even are for that matter.

This is a good idea....I'm assuming there will be cheat codes so I can I do triple backflips?

Cheat codes? It's not real life. Hold that bitch wide open and do the damn trick. You might die, but it's a video game. Isn't that the whole point of video games?

That would be cool... Add injuries to "pro mode" and hospital bills to get back in the game.

There could definetly be an over the top quick play arcade mode where you hop on a monster and go nuts, but the real fun would be the real life emulation of building your boat up as you get more money to invest, tuning your set up, increasing your skill level via experience points, and trading parts on line via the virtual x. Just like grand turismo. I love the idea of injuries and hospital bills to do go along with broken polls, blown up motors, etc.

For example with your starting 1000 dollars, if you don't buy a limiting rope, full face helmet, and a hood mod you could easily break a pole your face, or hydrolock your engine. Draining your account and forcing you to sell the boat for a 300sx and have to make up for it by gaining the experience points needed to increase your players on water skill level before being able to win more money to progress.

Besides the sandbox Grand Theft Auto approach, we can add the coast guard as well to certain ride spots. So if they catch you trying to backflip wakes or getting to close to boats you can be chased and possibly ticketed if you can't find a way to escape!

Let's try and not turn this into the ever so famous 'BMX XXX' lol I like the grand tourismo aspect though. So when is this idea getting on the road?

lol. I had completely forgotten about the BMX xxx fiasco. What a horrible decision it was to release that.

This idea will probably remain an idea though I did start researching options last night. Overall it will probably end up being a few posts worth of entertainment for those of us dealing with freezing temperatures and iced over lakes.
