The noob has a question about blaster to sj...........

First off this will be my first post and I just want to say whats up to everyone. Second I have a 93 blaster now and honestly I just got it and have been riding it on flat water to get use to the feel before I go jumping waves. Third is I am 220lbs(but in half way decent shape) and sometimes have trouble boarding my blaster after I am a bit worn(30-45min or so) out and am thinking about stripping down everything and buying a SJ bare hull and putting everything into it. I have seen where other people have done this before. I just want to get some of everyones $.02 and see what everyone thinks about that?

Just buy both ,,, I was in the same boat but I did two things. One I lost some weight went 220 to 175lbs and I learned to side mount the blaster. When I had the weight I just adjusted my blaster to idle and had it idle as I mounted from the rear and it was alot easier. Back to the question , I had to have both rides because they each ride unique.

Keep the couch and add a standup.

Yea I am on a diet and hitting the gym every day to lose 30lbs or so. I mean that would help a lot with the blaster but its not really helping me now. The reason I wanted to buy a sj hull and swap everything is because I really didn't want 2 ski's being I can only ride 1 at a time. I just look at it like if I picked up a sj hull for 1k and swapped everything over and sold the blaster hull for $200 I would only have $800 invested into a nice sj vs me selling the blaster for 1k and then buying a 96+ sj for 3k. That was just my thinking .

If you go for a roll on a SJ and you manage to hang on to the grips WHEN YOU LAND then you have ''COMPLETED the ROLL'' , matters not if the ski is under you or beside you . If you go for a roll on a b-1 and you dont ride out of it upon landing you failed !!!!! . As you get older and more out of shape ''that's the real natural progression '' you will appreciate the SJ much more because anybody can mount one in the surf , so don't be a lamb and follow the flock , all you will see is a bunch of a$$ ,go with a real challenge first , you can always fall back to the superjet if you cant rip a B-1 !'' note : I cant roll or flip !

If you are getting warn out riding flatwater on a blaster, buying a sj is not going to help things. Just keep at it, like every sport at first it kicks your ass.

Swapping your parts to a SJ will cost you a lot more than you realise. The motor/electrical, and a protion of the jet pump are the only parts that interchange. You'll still need a pole, steering, driveshaft, motor mounts, gas tank, waterbox, and more to complete a SJ.

Just buy a SN for $1500 and have both. When one breaks, the other will keep you on the water.
