The smallest things ruin your season!!!

I know how you feel man ,Last august me and some buddies made a trip to havasu and the very first time i put my ski in the water (body beach) i sucked a rock and bent up my impellor so bad it would cavitate till I got up to about 15mph whicth pretty much ruined the way I wanted to ride for the weekend. So we went out friday night and drank too much but of course we had to ride again saterday morning so we went to site six all hung over and within 20min I was just crusing around not paying attetion and the rollers were commin in pretty well so i blipped the throttle off one and my feet came out of the holds so i tried to just let the ski land and the land in the tray but the doulbe impact made the landing so hard that I slpit my tibia (shin bone) right up the middle. But the crazy thing is is that I was only about 2ft out of the water on my jump. And now here I am
8 months later with a titainium plate an 15 screws in my ankle and there is still a 5" long fracture in my tibia and ive lost 15* range of motion so it looks like I be spending most the summer on the shore wrenching and maybe move up to somthing a little less dangerous like an sxr at the end of summer

That is exactly it! I was only probably 2ft out of the water going over some rollers, one foot slipped out of the hold....first thought was to just go down in the the tray but my quick fear was your injury of what I have seen in the past....I quickly made the decision to push away but unfortunately didnt get completely away and caught the back edge of the tray on my knee....and here I am! Laying on my ass for a month hoping to get back on the water some time this year. I have already lost all my muscle in my right thigh and have lost almost ten lbs. I work out five days a week and am a very active person......I am getting pretty frustrated not being able to do simple things like cut my nails, clean or even put lotion on my right foot. It doesnt make it any easier I dont really have many friends or any family within a couple thousand miles of this crap hole of Oklahoma.

I just cant believe all that has happened from what seemed like a little bump on the knee one afternoon.
