Other The start of my Aquabot v2 build

Got the pump in and the mid shaft aligned tonight. I bolted up the mid shaft and it lines right up with the bulk head serts fine with no needing to adjust (how it should be) When I turn the coupler by hand the prop snags the wear ring in one spot and it gets really hard to turn for a second then it’s super smooth again, Is this normal until the prop wears into the ring or should I adjust the pump the slightest bit ? Test for the motor and all lines uphold with just needing 1 shim on the front 2 mounts

If this is a used wear ring, then the stainless liner has corrosion built up behind it causing it to swell. I have taken a flapper wheel (sanding drum) and sanded that area. If you let the prop wear in to this now, you are creating a wider gap at all the other areas which is not good. Best solution is to replace it.

I cut 2 inches off the pole tubes to start and it’s actually at a perfect length for me ! Skis starts up and runs flawless, its cold here to I couldn’t ride too long but man is this hull super fun !

VERY nice!!! I am interested to hear about your first ride! I just picked up a used Aquabot v1 with a 735. I ride a superjet in south/central CT. In the late season I launch at Barn island and ride at watch hill!

It rips man I couldn’t be any happier but I need to get a few solid days of ride time to master the basics like nose stabs and 180s and what not so I can start start doing the more difficult tricks

Cool! If you are ever out in the CT area, let me know! The CT river can get some big boat wakes in the summer. I ride at Bashan lake if i'm not in the river. I got pretty good at 180's at the end of last summer. They're fun!
