Right now I ride a 93 750SX, it's my first stand up. Previously I had a 98 Kawasaki XI. I really like my 750SX, I have no complaints but then again I have never rode another stand up. From what everyone says the superjet is the way to go. Where I ride, I can be riding surf, heading through choppy water, flying through a marsh and then jumping boat wakes all with a full tank of gas. So point is I always have a mix up of riding. I dig what people are doing with the superjets and they seem to be engineered much tighter when I rode my friend's waveblaster. The amount of bottom end it carries really launches you on small wakes/surf. I think a modded superjet is in my future, packed with tubbies, shortened pole, footholds and a factory b pipe would be ideal. I am mechanically inclined and do carry composite experience so modding one myself would be no big deal. So on to my real question..
I am in no hurry to buy a superjet, my 750SX rides fine. The "superjet market" is strange in that mods and high demand they fly hours after they hit craigslist. Am I better to wait until off season to pick one up? Or yall think its not going to matter? I have a harley sportster I can sell quick and have $5000 ready to fire when I see a deal that catches my eye. Just trying to make the decision if being patient is going to be key here, I seen a couple good deals but I think there may be more waiting off season.
