The Transformer Era

Is it just me and a handful of others or has anyone else noticed there was a real trend toward everything looking like a transformer? The Honda Civic was starting to really look horrid but the 2022 model is finally starting to look like a decent functional unit again. The SD Spark still looks like it came from a transformer movie along with pretty much all of their ATV's. Polaris started looking like a transformer version of a praying mantis, Mercury Marine seems to still be stuck in horridville along side of BRP lol...the new V12 Verado looks absolutely ridiculous lol. What children are designing these things? The names are getting childish too...Dodge Ram "Warlock"?? ...seriously??

The other transformation that has been interesting is the conversion of the powerboat world to more and more outboards. I kind of like it, since I/Os are such a pain to work on, but man do I love the sound of my 502 in my boat with transom exhaust.

I have been baffled with the Rustang thing...it's a car, that looks like a transformer with a kind of snake face front end, originally named after a horse but sports a snake logo? So....it's a transforming snake horse? ..wouldn't the natural progression be a colt?? ...I'm confused lol

Angry bugs or robots, transformers, you are all SPOT ON! I don't know what on earth the people are thinking that design this garbage, but it's all faux. Instead of trying to be something that they're not, they should be more concerned about other more important aspects of the machine, but the lack of creativity and the market that they're trying to cater to shifts their focus elsewhere.......like trying to make their "angry plastic disposable transportation unit" look more ridiculous than the other brands on the market. I say this is what is a big part of the reason driving the price of ACTUAL cool vintage stuff higher and higher. People are going to become more and more fed up with this plastic transformer nonsense they're producing and the demand for the vintage stuff will continue to grow. This video may shed some light on the subject, it's lengthy but very accurate.

By the way, the Ram truck using name "Warlock" isn't anything new. The "Warlock" was (in my opinion a cool) vintage Dodge Truck package from the 1970's that you could get with the D100 and W100 pick up line.
