Yep, pancakepete on his Watercraft Factory hull that was built to handle 'his' riding and it did.

I think this was 08? Surf riding was just taking off on the East Coast...due to the Jersey/Daytona freerides. It was all new. Only a handful of aftermarket hulls were developing. I think the largest motor was an 800Lamey. I don't think anyone had pulled a flat water backy yet. (ski's weren't capable).

Malone was doing them in 2004 at Havasu. I'm not sure when the first were done.

It was 07. First freeride that I ever witnessed. It was one hell of a weekend! :Banane36:
